One of only two kimono that were actually order-made for me is this green houmongi. My grandmother ordered it, and chose it, and told me it was suitable for me to wear for a long time. When I was younger I wore it a lot at my children’s school entrance and graduation ceremonies. As it is a soft green, I can continue to use it even though I am older now.
