KIKUKO’S STORY 1 着物物語1

The one furisode that I have in my collection is my mother’s bridal dress. Because my grandfather worked at a printing business, he saw a lot of Japanese art. He especially liked screens. He ordered this design specially for the wedding. I am not sure which of these two obi were worn with it. They both suit it well. It is a really special kimono, very bright, and the pattern is unusual.

これは私の所有する着物の中で唯一の振袖です。母が自分の結婚式に着ました。祖父は印刷会社に勤めていたので、多くの日本の美術を目にする機会がありその中でも特に屏風が好きでした。このデザインは結婚式のために祖父が注文しました。華やかで珍しい柄だと思います。この２つの帯のうち、どちらかを結婚式で締めたと思いますが、今はわかりません。どちらもこの着物に合っていると思います。
