This is my mother’s wedding furisode. In this old photograph you can see it in black and white. It appeared from the very bottom of the kimono chest. I thought it was a really fantastic furisode, so bright and colourful, so I wanted to take my photograph in it. I got a photographer and I went out in Tokyo and we took shots and I made a photobook of them.

これは母の結婚式の振袖です。昔の写真なので白黒です。この振袖は箪笥の一番奥から出てきました。とても華やかで素晴らしいと思いました。私もこの着物で写真を撮りたいと考え、東京で写真家に頼んで撮影してもらい、写真本を作りました。
