This kimono was in one of collections of the most famous antique kimono collector in Japan who I respect. I love her collection and always went to her exhibitions. After she passed away, when I visited her antique kimono shop, her daughter sold her collection. I love purple. Actually, I bought my first antique kimono here and it was also purple. It can’t be helped that the hem got damaged when I wore it, but I keep taking care of it. I enjoy alcoholic drinks while seeing this beautiful image on this kimono, too. I like to read some novelists who are very good at describing the women in kimono in the Taisho and early Showa eras. I always wear this kimono when there are events concerning such novelists. At that time, I wear an antique obi which the kimono collector picked out for me.

尊敬している日本一有名なアンティーク着物コレクターのコレクションの一つです。この方のコレクションが大好きで、膨大なコレクションの中から選りすぐった着物や帯、小物などをトータルコーディネートして展示したイベントには必ず行きましたし図録も持っています。この方が亡くなった後、この方が経営されていたアンティーク着物の店を訪ねたところ、娘さんがコレクションを販売していたので購入しました。

紫が好きで、実はこの店で最初に買ったアンティーク着物も紫色です。

着るとどうしても裾が傷んできますが、直しつつ大切に着ています。

この絵柄も気に入っていて、この着物も、眺めつつ考えを巡らしながらお酒が飲めます。

大正から昭和初期に活躍した、女性の着物の描写が上手な小説家がいます。彼らの作品の世界観に因んだイベントがあるときには

必ずこの着物を着ます。その時には、このコレクターさんが生前私のために選んでくださったアンティークの帯を合わせます
