I realized we are in the SNS period now from this kimono. From when I started to post my photograph in kimono, many people tried to give me kimono. I know an artist who makes fabric flowers from unpicked /cut up kimono. Many kimono are donated there, too. Some are too good to cut, so the artist tries to sell them to second hand shops or give them to the right people. When I visited the artist, I met a woman who came to donate her kimono. I got this kimono from her despite the fact that I met her for the first time. I asked her about the memory of this kimono but she has forgotten it. This kimono was almost new, and in very good condition. From this experience, I am helping to find the right people for the right kimono to go to, when they are donated.

ＳＮＳの時代を実感した着物です。私自身が着物を着ている写真をSNSに投稿し始めると、着物をたくさんいただくようになりました。

着物をほどいて布の花を作るアーティストさんのところにも、やはりＳＮＳ　で知った多くの方が着物を寄付されるそうです。とても使いきれないので、ほどいたり切ったりするのがもったいない着物はリサイクル店に売るか、欲しい人にゆずっているそうです。私がたまたまそのアーティストさんのところ遊びに行ったとき、この着物を寄付しようと訪れた人と出会い、初めて会ったにもかかわらず、この着物をいただいてしまいました。しつけ糸もついていて、とても良い状態でした。持ち主に着物の思い出を尋ねてみましたが、忘れてしまったそうです。この経験から、集まった着物を切ってしまう前に、見せてもらい、着てくれる人を探したり、見つかるまで預かったりと、里親捜しのようなこともしています。
