My parents made this tsukesage for me when I was single. I wore this to my brother’s wedding ceremony and visiting a shrine for my sons. The patterns are not big but it looks gorgeous since the fabric is shiny and the patterns are classic. It is ochre gold color and looks quiet, so I think I can wear it when I get older. My parents made me some pink or pale orange kimono at the same time as this, but I can’t wear them because they are too bold on me for my age and I am afraid that only the kimono will stand out when I wear them.

この付下げは独身時代に両親が作ってくれました。弟の結婚式や長男のお宮参りにも着ました。柄は小ぶりですが生地に光沢があり古典的で豪華な印象です。金色ですが黄土色っぽく落ち着いているので中高年になっても安心して着られます。同じく独身時代に両親がピンクや薄いオレンジの着物も作ってくれましたが、中高年になってその色を着ると、着物だけが浮いてしまいそうで着ていません。
