I am worried about storage. My place doesn’t have enough space, so my kimono are stored at my parents’ place and some are at my grandmother’s, too. They live in the same building but in different apartments. Another issue I have is size. I want to wear the right size kimono, so I usually wear order made ones. I like some kimono which I was given, but their yuki (length of sleeves) are short for me. I also often buy tanmono (roles of kimono cloth) on sale. To extend the sleeve length or tailor a kimono from the cloth is very expensive. I have to make a decision to prioritize the kimono which I wear often, but it is difficult because my taste is changing with the passing of time.

収納に困っています。私の部屋だけでは置ききれないので同じ棟に住んでいる両親と祖母それぞれの部屋３カ所に分散させて置かせてもらっています。

もう一つはサイズです。私はサイズがきちっと自分に合っているものが着たいので、どうしても自分のサイズにお仕立てした物を頻繁に着ます。いただいた着物でも気に入っている物があるので着たいのですが裄が合わず直したいものがあります。また、反物で素敵なものが安くなっているとついつい買ってしまいます。裄を直すのも反物を仕立てるのもお金がかかることなので、着る頻度を考えて優先順位を付けたいのですが、時間がたつと好みも変わり、その優先順位がなかなかつけられません。
