This dark purple homongi is my favourite kimono that I have bought. It is fairly old, with longer sleeves but I worry that the stitching is getting really weak, so I don’t wear it very much any more. It is yuzen dyed with mirror designs on it, and there is a phoenix on the mirrors. I was on a trip to Kyoto and I went into a used kimono store and I saw it and loved it straight away.

この紫の訪問着は私が買った着物の中で一番好きな着物です。袖が長くて、とても古い物だと思います。糸が弱くなってきているのが気になって、最近あまり着ていません。友禅染めで、鏡の文様に鳳凰が描かれています。京都の旅行中、中古の着物店に入ったとたん、見つけてしまい、気に入って即決でした。
