When I was 28 years old, my mother bought this homongi for me when we went out to watch a play together. At that point in time, I did not have a homongi. She found this at a kimono shop first and then recommended it to me. I was so happy because I liked the soft and quiet colors and patterns. My mother understood me well. I had been given some kimono from my mother already, but it was the first time she bought a kimono for me. This is very special for me. My mother dressed me in it when I attended a friends’ wedding ceremony and also for the Noh theater. Recently, I dressed in it to celebrate my younger sister’s daughter’s 7,5,3 ceremony. It made me so happy.

この訪問着は２８歳の頃、母とお芝居を観に行った帰りにたまたま立ち寄った着物屋さんで母が見つけてくれ、「あなたはこういう感じのものが似合うよ。」と選んでくれました。私もこういう優しい感じの物が好きで、好みのものを勧めてくれて嬉しかったです。二人とも迷わず、すぐこの着物に決めました。それまで訪問着を持っていなかったので母が買ってくれました。母が譲ってくれた着物はそれまでにもありましたが、買ってくれたのは初めてで、大切な着物です。結婚式に着て行ったり、夜桜能（薪能）を観に行った時に着ました。そのときは母が着せてくれました。先日、妹の子供の七五三では、私が妹にこの着物を着せてあげることができ、嬉しかったです。
