I have loved to watch the costume drama on TV since I was a child. I was always interested in the kimono costumes in them. I remember well the photograph of my aunt in a beautiful kimono costume of traditional Japanese dance at my grandfather’s place. Now I am influenced by the geisha who I see at my work place. They show me and teach me many things not only about kimono itself, but also how to behave in kimono and how to enjoy the seasons.

子供の頃から時代劇や大河ドラマを観ることが好きでした。父の姉が日本舞踊を習っていて、祖父の家にいくと日舞の衣装を着た叔母の写真が飾ってあり、それを見ていつも子供心にいいなあ、きれいだなあ、と思っていました。着物そのものにとても興味がありました。現在は芸者さん達から季節の着物やTPO,立ち居振る舞いなど、着物だけでなく着物をとりまく様々な事について影響を受けています。
