This kimono has a peony design on it. Originally it was yellow. It is very important for me as my mother made a special effort to purchase it for me when I got married. I know how hard it was financially for my mother, and I cannot forget the sacrifice that my mother made in getting this kimono for me. Later I had it re-dyed green, but this kimono has a special meaning for me, connecting me with my late mother.

このボタン柄の着物は元々は黄色でした。この着物はとても大切な着物です。私がお嫁に行く時に母が誂えてくれました。経済的に余裕のない中、これを作ってくれるのは大変だったと思います。あとで緑に染め変えました。これを見ると母のの事を思い出します。
