MINAKO’S STORY 3　着物物語３

I found and tailored this zenmai (royal fern) tsumugi one or two years ago at a kimono sale event. I knew I wanted to find the right kimono for me, so I asked my mother to go with me. This is almost the first kimono that I picked out by myself. It stood out at the event. I really like this blue color and the stream pattern that is bold but quiet, elegant, delicate and unique. It was expensive because it is elaborate weaving zenmai (royal fern) tsumugi. I have not worn it yet and will let it debut this June. I am holding an event every month with some acquaintances to gather people who have special skills. I would love to attend it wearing this kimono.

このぜんまい紬の着物は１～２年前に着物の展示会で見つけて誂えました。自分の本当に好きなものを探そうと思い、母に一緒に行ってもらいました。自分で選んだ着物としてはほぼ最初のものです。

展示会で反物を見たとき、とても目立っていました。私の好きなブルー系の色に加え、この流れのある大胆な模様が気に入っています。大きく大胆な模様ながら、落ち着いていて、気品があり繊細で珍しいと思います。凝った織りのぜんまい紬ということで高額でした。これは仕立て上がってからまだ着ておらず、今年の６月にデビューさせる予定です。月に１度、知人達とイベントを主催していて、様々な得意分野を持った人たちが集まります。そこに着ていこうと思っています。
