MIKA’S STORY 1 着物物語 1

A friend got married at a very nice hotel in Tokyo and one of my relatives lent me a light purple kimono to go in. It looked really great, and I was deeply impressed by that. So then I wanted one like that for myself, and I went on to the internet and found one. I bought it as cloth and then I found another shop on the internet where I could get it sewn up. I am really pleased with the results, but I haven’t worn it yet. I am not sure if I have a good enough obi, and I don’t have the right accessories for a wedding, so I ended up going to my relative’s wedding in a rented one.

友達が東京のいいホテルで結婚式を挙げることになり、親戚から薄い紫の着物を借りて出席しました。この着物がとても綺麗で感動し、これと同じようなものが欲しくなりました。インターネットで反物を見つけることができ、別のインターネット店で仕立てを頼みました。とても着に入っているのですが、まだ着ていないです。これに使えるいい帯を持っていないのとフォーマル用の小物を持っていないのです。結局、親戚の結婚式には、また着物を借りて出席しました。
