LYNN YUKI’S STORY 1 着物物語 1
This is a kimono I bought new from a brand that is very popular now. The cloth is from a well-known textile designer. It is polyester, but it is a thick jacquard kind of weave. It is single-layered, hitoe, but it can be worn in winter because it is very thick. I like the combination of the lime-green yellowish colour and the dark blue, and black flowered pattern with the shiny threads, and the fact that it is opposite colours on the left and right sides. Its strong looking. I think I really like wearing warm yellowish colours, but I don’t think I would have bought it if the yellowish colour was on the left side though. It is important that the front panel is dark. Otherwise it might have been too much.
この着物は今とても人気があるブランドの物です。生地は有名なテキスタイルデザイナーが作りました。ポリエステルの単衣ですが、ジャガードのように織られた厚手の生地なので季節を問わず着られます。この黄緑と紺色のコントラスト、きらっとする黒い花柄に片身替り、と好きな要素が詰まった、とても強い印象の着物です。暖色系の着物は大好きなのですが、この着物の場合、上前が紺色ではなく暖色系だったら強すぎて買わなかったかもしれません。
