MIEKO’S INFLUENCES影響

My mother wore kimono a lot, but actually I was more influenced by my mother-in-law after I got married. My mother-in-law really liked kimono and wore it all the time. I am also influenced by my interest in the tea ceremony. Although I wear casual kimono everyday, I’m not really very interested in these kimono. They are just clothes. I am more interested in the formal kimono and particularly what I use for the tea ceremony.

自分の母親より、結婚してから受けた姑の影響の方が大きいと思います。母も着物が好きでよく着ていましたが姑のほうが着物をもっともっと好きで、いつも着ていました。また、お茶をやっていることでお茶の世界や文化からたくさんの影響を受けました。私は毎日着物を着ていますが、普段に着る着物は私にとってはただの服であり、あまり関心がないです。フォーマル着物、特にお茶会に着る着物に興味があります。
