I got this polyester kimono at a second hand kimono shop. This kimono make me feel comfortable because I was praised every time I wore it, by all kinds of people, young and old, men and women. It is a modern kimono but its made like the antique kimono with the added the “fuki” (padding) at the sleeves and hem. Usually polyester kimono look cheap but this kimono does not have that image. This kimono is made by a popular brand among young women and it was expensive but I was lucky to get it second hand. I liked “KIMONO HIME” when I got this but even now I love to wear it. I wear antique obi with this or sometimes I even wear it with a fukuro-obi suitable for furisode kimono because this looks gorgeous.
この着物はリサイクルショップで見つけたポリエステルの着物です。これを着ていると老若男女問わず、誰からもほめられる、着ていてとても気持ちの良い着物です。現代のものなのに、裾と袖口に「ふき」が入っていて昔の着物を意識した凝った作りです。ポリエステルの着物はチープな印象のものも多いのですが、これにはそれがないですね。若い女性をターゲットにしたブランドの着物で、正価で買うと高価なのでリサイクルで入手できて幸運でした。これを買ったのは「KIMONO 姫」が好きだった頃ですが、店長職になり落ち着いた着物を着るようになった後も、この着物は好きで着ています。アンティークテイストなので、帯も似たテイストのものを合わせたり、華やかなので振袖感覚で袋帯を合わせて着たりしています。
