CHIKAKO’S PROBLEMS 問題
When I started to wear kimono on a regular basis, I began to find many things annoying. I didn’t like the long collar stiffeners, or long nagajuban. So I have made my own designs. My nagajuban is a two part one. It is very convenient and the skirt is a pull-on skirt. I also wear a lot of polyester because I can just throw polyester kimono in the washing machine, which is very convenient.
I hate the way people just throw away kimono that are passed on to them because they don’t know how to use them and don’t understand what they mean. I want young Japanese people to really understand the importance of kimono for us Japanese.
よく着物を着るようになると、面倒に感じることが色々とでてきました。長い襟芯や長襦袢が好きではないので自分で二部式の襦袢を開発してしまいました。とても便利でスカートはゴムのスカートです。
ポリエステルの着物をよく着ます。自宅の洗濯機で洗えるので便利です。代々譲り受けた着物をどうしていいか分からず、結局捨ててしまう方々がいて、残念に思います。若い日本人に着物の大切さを伝えたいです。
