ATSUKO’S STORY 2 着物物語2
This grey komon of my mother’s was one of her favourite kimono. There are many photographs of her in this kimono. It has large bunches of batik flowers on it. I think she wore it to my brother’s wedding with a black crested haori. She also used a very stylish obi on it, and often wore pottery obi dome too. She would always put up her hair nicely too. The kimono is old and stained now, but perhaps I could re-dye it. She was really fond of this one.
この鼠色の小紋を母（喜代子さん）は大好きでした。この着物を着た写真がたくさん残っています。臈纈染で大きな花模様を染めています。この着物の上に黒羽織を着て、兄の結婚式に出席したと思います。とても素敵な織の帯を合わせ、陶器の帯留めもつけて、おしゃれをしていました。髪の毛もいつも綺麗にアップをしていました。今はシミがたくさんついてしまいましたが、おそらく綺麗に染め直す事ができると思います。母が本当に好きだった着物です。
