STORY 1 着物物語1
This all over design casual (komon) kimono is very special to me because I am the fourth person in my family to wear it. It was made for my grandmother’s sister, and then my grandmother wore it, and then my mother, and now me. It was used by my relatives for doing tea ceremony practice. It is the kimono that reminds me most of my mother. And it is a very practical kimono because it has so many colours in it, and it is easy to match it with any coloured obi.

この小紋はとても特別です。この着物を着るのは私が家族で４人目です。最初は祖母の姉妹のためにこの着物が仕立てられ、その次に祖母、次に母、そして今は私のところに来ました。それぞれ皆、お茶の練習の時に着ました。母のことを一番思い出させてくれる着物です。たくさんの色が入っているので、どの色の帯でも合います。
