PROBLEMS 困っていること
I feel troubled that I do not have a specialist shop for kimono cleaning and maintenance in my neighborhood. Kimono shops nowadays also take kimono for cleaning or maintenance, but as they are combined, I feel it is troublesome when they try and sell me kimono or obi, when I only ask them for cleaning services. I don’t like it.
As I have aged, I feel I need a jacket when I go out. I feel uncomfortable if I go out only in kimono and obi, without a jacket. I have started to wear haori and kimono coats a lot more than before. I wear thin ones in the hot summer days. I do not know why but it might be the same as going out in T shirts and jeans when young, but as you get older, you need a jacket too.
悉皆やさんのようなクリーニングやお手入れの専門店が近所になく、気軽にお手入れを頼めないことが悩みです。今は着物店がクリーニングの窓口なのでクリーニングを頼みに行くと着物や帯を勧められて、それが嫌です。
また年齢を重ねるにつれ、帯付きの姿で出かけると落ち着かなくなってきました。なぜかわかりませんが無防備な感じがして、以前よりも羽織やコートを着るようになりました。暑い季節には薄手の羽織で対応しています。若い頃はＴシャツにデニムパンツでも平気で外出できていたのが、年齢とともにジャケットなど何か羽織らないと落ち着かないのと同じかもしれません。
