STORY 1 着物物語 1
This blue tsukesage is special for me. It was my mother’s. I think she must have made it when she was young, possibly it was part of her dowry from her marriage. As it still had the tacking stitches in it, I don’t think she ever wore it. I love the strong blue colour, the wave pattern and the gold embroidery on the white lines.

この青色の付け下げは私にとって特別な着物です。母の着物でした。おそらく母のお嫁入りの時の着物だと思います。しつけ糸がついたままなので、母は袖をとおしていないのではないかと思います。この強い青色に波の模様、金の刺繍がとても気に入っています。
