STORIES 着物物語
This plain colored kimono was given to be my mother when I graduated from university. I was given several kimono by my mother but this was the first one. I wore this kimono with a hakama at the graduation ceremony. Apart from the very formal kimono for the special ceremonies, and some casual wool kimono, I didn’t have any other ordinary silk kimono, so I consider the first kimono of my own. My mother wore this on ceremonies during my elementary school days. I have never had the chance to wear it again after graduating university, but this kimono embodies special memories for me.
この色無地は母から譲られた着物です。母からは何枚か着物を譲られましたが、その最初の１枚です。私が大学を卒業する時に譲ってもらい、卒業式には袴とともに着ました。
振袖か普段着のウールを除くと、普通の着物はまだ持っていなかったので私にとっては初めての自分の着物となりました。
母はこの着物を私が小学生の時、式に着て来てくれました。
大学の卒業式以来、着る機会はないのですが思い出の着物です。
