INFLUENCES影響

I don’t really buy or read kimono magazines or books, or watch kimono on television or anything. I used to buy a few but not now. I do have a kitsuke book, and I taught myself from this book. I still use this book when I dress. I suppose the biggest influence on me is the sales woman who sold me my first kimono. She is very stylish and knowledgeable. I guess I am more interested in actually wearing kimono than just in looking at pictures of it in magazines.

以前は着物の雑誌を買っていたこともありますが、今は本や雑誌などは買ったり読んだりしていませんし、テレビや他の媒体で着物について見たりすることもありません。ただ、着付けを独学した時に使った本は今でも持っていて、着る時に読んでいます。私が一番影響をうけているのは、最初の着物を作ったお店の女性スタッフさんだと思います。とてもお洒落で着物のことをよく知っているのです。今は雑誌で着物を眺めるよりも、自分で着る方が面白いです。
