STORIES 着物物語

This was the first kimono that I bought myself. I saw it at an antique market and I felt it was really cute, but that it was much to bold for a person like me, who wears quiet clothing everyday. But they recommended that I try it on, and I did. The people who took me to the market praised the look from the bottom of their hearts, and that made me really happy. I thought I should wear it like a flower print dress and so I bought it.

I have worn it many times since then and the more I wear it, the more I love it. I would never have picked this kimono if I had been by myself, but the people that I went there with really understood about antique kimono and have lots of experience with them. Their eye is really good and so I think that I have made a good start with this kimono. Now I don’t hesitate to select or coordinate with a bold kimono.

この着物は初めて自分で買ったアンテｲ―ク着物です。アンテｲ―ク着物イベントのマーケットでこの着物を見た時、かわいいとは思いましたが、普段着ている洋服が地味なので、買ったり着たりする対象として見ていませんでした。しかし、周りの人に勧められて羽織ってみたらとても本当に皆さんにほめて頂いて、非常に幸せな気持ちになり、花柄のワンピース感覚で着ればいいかな、と購入しました。

その後、この着物を何度も着ましたが、着れば着るほど愛着がわいて最初の頃よりもどんどん好きになっています。自分一人だったら決して選ばない柄と色でしたが、一緒にいた方達がアンテｲ―ク着物が好きで、知識も経験もあり目が確かだったので、おすすめに従って成功でしたし、良いスタートをきれたと思っています。この着物のおかげで派手な着物もためらうことなく着られるようになり、今のセレクトやコーデｲネートに影響を与えています。
