Yoko’s Kimono Story (Part Four)

This fourth kimono I bought at the local dyeing workshop that has been dyeing kimono for generations. They dye yuzen, sarasa, and other stencil dyeing there. After I quit my job, I started to produce a local paper, and I walked around my neighborhood interviewing people. I got to meet and talk to many people around here who are connected with dyeing or with the kimono trade. Thanks to them, my knowledge and interest in the kimono and in dyeing techniques has really increased. Now I am taking part in an event to promote this neighborhood. Thanks to my encounter with this dyeing workshop, I got the chance to know about kimono in more depth, and also found the opportunity to help promote them.
